Danvers 0 - Peabody 5
The Falcons made their annual visit to Peabody to face the Tanners. The Falcons were looking to avenge
an opening night defeat at the hands of the hosts. The Falcons came in on a 2-game win streak having
defeated Winthrop and Pentucket while the Tanners were coming off a hard fought 2-2 draw with
Beverly.

The Tanners came out strong in the opening half holding much of the possession in a steady rain. The
Tanners would use that possession to generate several corners and chances in close. After a disallowed
Tanner goal for offsides it was the Falcons who would generate their best chance of the half off a corner
of their own but in tight the Falcons were unable to tap one home. From there the Tanners would use
their possession game to take control in the end knocking 3 into the Falcons net in the first half. The
Falcons did see opportunities in their counterattack but again the back of the net could not be found.

The Tanners would own much of the second half, in the end tacking on 2 additional markers resulting in
the 5-0 final. The Falcons were not without their chances however generating several chances inside the
Tanners 18-yard box but found the finishing difficult.

The first set of power rankings from the MIAA came out on Friday with the Falcons sitting at 37, outside
the top 32 who qualify. The margin however was tight with only 3 total goals keeping the falcons out
proving that every goal counts. The Falcons now 2-5-1 have a big week starting with Bishop Fenwick on
Monday followed by Swampscott on Wednesday as they look to get to .500.
