Danvers 2 - Gloucester 3

The Falcons traveled to Gloucester for a matchup with the Fisherman. Still looking to break into the win

column the Falcons faced a Fisherman team who had outscored their opponents 11-2 in their first two

games of the season. The Fisherman came out strong controlling much of the possession and generating

several great chances early including several corners. The Falcons as they had in their first two games of

the season bent but did not break on the back end. It wasn’t until in the 24th minute that the Fisherman

would break through benefiting at the penalty spot. Danvers would even out the possession battle the

remainder of the first half and would break thru just before the break. Bradley Piscitello pushed the ball

from his outside back position and put a cross into the box where Sophomore Connor DiTomaso was

waiting to pocket a rebound into the net for his first goal of the season, tying the game at 1-1 going into

the half.

As the Falcons had done versus Masco in their previous game the possession battle even out in the

second half with both teams trading chances. The Fisherman however would go ahead in the 51st minute

on a deflection off a cross taking a 2-1 lead. The Falcons picked up the pace from there generating

several chances and hitting the woodwork on two separate occasions. Halfway thru the half sophomore

Gianluca Locilento would find the back of the net with a left footed volley for his first career varsity goal

tying the game at 2-2. The game would again even out with both teams having long spells of possession.

With the scoreboard clock stopped at 5 minutes the Fisherman would score the game winner with a shot

from close range and closeout the scoring at 3-2.
