Danvers got fantastic play from center back Ali Doucette and Claudia Drakos paced the offense with her first ever varsity hat trick to help Danvers to an 8-0 road victory at Winthrop on Wednesday afternoon.  Sr. DeAnna Figuieiredo had 2 goals and an assist and Fr. Maggie Lamar, So. Kaia Glover each had 2 assists.  Danvers got goals from Fr. Rylee Sullivan, Jr. Emma Sutherland, and Sr. Capt. Addi McCarty.  So.Dani Scarpaci and Sr's Sabina Sturgeon and Ashley Freitas picked up assists.  Fr. Stella Shairs and Jr. Taylor Landry split in goal for the shutout.  Danvers also got outstanding play from Sr. defender Lila Flynn and So. defender Cassidy Randall.

"The girls really shared the ball well today and played well against a very young Winthrop team.  Hopefully we can use this momentum going into our big game at Marblehead on Friday night.  They have been one of the best defensive teams so far this season."

Danvers improves to 5-1 and travels to Marblehead Friday night @ 7:15pm.
