The Danvers Girls Varsity Girls Soccer Team rounded out their home regular season schedule by hosting Gloucester Wednesday afternoon.  With the sunny sky, a light breeze and mild temperatures, it was the perfect day to play.    Danvers got the game winning goal 8 minutes into the first half when Arianna Bezanson scored on an assist by Abby Cash.  About 7 minutes later, Becca Rocker found the back of the net off a feed from Reese Pszenny.  Danvers would score 2 more goals in the late minutes of the half.  Riley DiGilio off a pass from Julia Ryan and Cash got one of her own assisted by Rocker to make it 4-0 at halftime.

"We were kind of going through the motions early in this one.  We had 24 shots but we were hitting them right at the keeper.  Defensively we were sharp.  Livvi Anderson was steady in the back."

Danvers got 4 more in the second half.  Bezanson got the first 2 to give her the hat trick.  Assists went to Cash and Ryan.  Haley Murphy scored her 3rd goal of the year assisted by Pszenny.  Riley DiGilio scored the games final goal assisted by Rocker.  Kylie MacCormack played goalie the first half, making 1 save and Holly DeAngelis and Emma Maynard split the duties in the second half to combine for the team's 11th shutout of the season.  The win puts Danvers record at 14-1-2.

"Arianna had a big day with the 3 goals.   Becca Rocker played very well in the midfield for us as well.  Reese Pszenny had a nice game in the midfield.  We finish at Swampscott on Friday and they are going to be a very tough team.  We'd like to finish strong going into the tournament."
